My name is Jesus A Chávez. I am a 22 year old freelance photographer based in Oak Cliff in the city of Dallas, TX. I have been taking pictures since my sophomore year of high school and have since kept up with the craft. My style mostly consists of urban and night photography while also dabbling with film photography. This past year I have challenged myself to “look for light” once the sun is down, from which my latest photography project, ArtSick, was born. The theme of “looking for light” symbolizes mental health struggles and embodies how in our darkest days there is light and there is hope to be found, and it is just a matter of seeking  it.
